To expand and deepen cooperation and exchange with American colleges and universities, promote interschool cooperation and the cross-school double major project for undergraduate, from September 24th to September 30th, president Wang Cheng was invited to visit Muskingum University, Georgia Southern University, Montana State University, and dropped in on Savannah State University accompanied by the Dean of Students Office, the Division of International Cooperation & Exchanges, the Office of Financial Director and the main officials of the Second Hospital.

In Muskingum University, Wang Cheng conducted talks with Dr. Anne C. Steele, President of the university. The two sides reviewed the cooperation at student exchanges, scholar visiting since 2003 when the two schools signed an agreement on academic exchange and exchanged views on the double major project for undergraduates. Wang Cheng hoped the two sides launch the visiting program and teaching training program for LZU English teachers. He also hoped the two sides start the cooperation in the art field. His proposal got the unanimous approval from Muskingum University.

In Georgia Southern University, Wang Cheng and the delegation met Dr. Brooks A. Keel, president of Georgia Southern University. Wang Cheng introduced to her the unique geographical location, the basic situation, the superiority and characteristics of our school, Keel believed the visit is a good beginning of cooperation between the two sides. He said they would like to establish a partnership with our school, carry out cooperation in student exchanges and mutual visit. During the visit, Wang Cheng also had an informal discussion with the school leaders of engineering, mathematics, nursing, sociology, education, Graduate School, international research center and other departments and got an in-depth understanding of the subject setting, enrolment, characteristic & preponderant discipline of Georgia Southern University.

In Savannah State University, Wang Cheng and the delegation met President Cheryl D. Dozier and exchanged views on conducting cooperation between two sides with each other. He also had an informal discussion with the International Education Center of the university and introduced the international student enrollment situation of our school.

In Montana State University, Wang Cheng and the delegation met Dr. Waded Cruzado, president of Montana State University. The two sides exchanged their views on establishing partnership formally and launching student exchange program. During the visit, Wang Cheng also had consultations with the Division of International Cooperation & Exchanges on the student exchange program and introduced to the faculties and students of the university the basic situation and the international summer learning programs of our school.
