Hospital staff hold talk with GCMS experts

On Aug 16, the personnel division of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University held a talk with German experts, including Christian Taube, vice-president of the German-Chinese Medical Society (GCMS), Wolfgang Reuter, director of operations at the GCMS, and Ms. Carmen Rother, senior consultant at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. The two sides exchanged views on medical team construction and sustainable development of hospitals, having their eyes on integrating the human resources to strengthen the First Hospital’s disciplines and personnel. Also present were Li Xun and Bai Ming, respectively president and vice-president of the hospital.

Lv Xinghua, director of the personnel division, introduced the hospital’s achievements in discipline and team construction from such aspects as six platforms, six disciplines and six types of talents. He also exchanged views with the German experts on the evaluation of academic leaders, training of young clinical professionals, requirements for their research work, etc., which are the challenges facing the hospital. 

Taube shared the experiences and practices of the German healthcare sector from compensation systems and incentives, cost allocation and relative value, strategic goals, etc. Meanwhile, the participating experts also discussed personnel training and management, practical cases, and sustainable development, offering new insights into hospital personnel management.
