Hospital staff and German experts discuss high-quality development

From Aug 16 to 17, Li Xun, president of the First Hospital of Lanzhou University, and his colleagues at the medical affairs division and the infrastructure division met with professor Michael Nerlich, Mr. Christian Taube, respectively president and vice-president of the German-Chinese Medical Society (GCMS), Mr. Wolfgang Reuter, director of operations at the GCMS, and Ms. Carmen Rother, senior consultant at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). The two sides held discussions over the high-quality development of hospitals.

Hou Xiaoming, director of the medical affairs division, shared the hospital’s medical management and the construction plans for its Buildings 3 and 4. He also exchanged views with the German experts on such issues as the specialized treatment center, dynamic management of beds, evaluation of doctors, multidisciplinary cooperation models, enhanced recovery, and hospital operation based on DRG.

Taking the clinical center of UKE as an example, the German experts shared their experience in the high-quality development of hospitals and planning of hospital branches.

Li Xun noted that the exchange has provided the First Hospital with clearer and more scientific approaches as well as forward-looking perspectives on high-quality development. He looked forward to further cooperation and exchanges between the two sides in refined management of hospitals.
